Aventiv’s NomaDesk is the first virtual fileserver that lets mobile professionals, or “Digital Nomads”, intuitively edit, store, share, backup and synchronize files effortlessly and securely across company boundaries and the Internet. With an interface that is seamlessly integrated into the Windows operating system, NomaDesk offers a virtual (SaaS) fileserver. Fully encrypted, while ensuring they are never at-risk nor out-of-reach, even when an Internet connection is, it is the simplest way to secure important business files.

A managed-service provider of Internet-based, professional file sharing and synchronization solutions, Aventiv (http://www.aventiv.com), has launched its latest NomaDesk 2.5 release. With this release the company introduces a brand-new tiered “virtual fileserver” offering. NomaDesk users, following the firm’s philosophy that storage size or bandwidth should never impose limits, can choose between fileserver types to share and synchronize documents based on how they work, not on how much data or bandwidth they consume.

    * The TEAM fileserver enables you to share documents that can be edited by anyone in your network —whether inside or outside your organization and includes workflow tools.
    * The PUBLIC fileserver delivers all of the features of the TEAM version, except only the owner can make changes to the files on the fileserver.
    * The PERSONAL fileserver automatically synchronizes the owner’s private files on up to five different PCs.

Each new NomaDesk user automatically receives a free PERSONAL and PUBLIC fileserver. Including the comprehensive TEAM fileserver, any other fileserver can be added for free for an indefinite period.

Filip Tack, the company’s chief executive, declared: “The release of NomaDesk 2.5 marks the beginning of a new application platform that will allow us to launch even more exciting business features for the digital nomads. The indefinite free trial helps us better understand their specific needs. So, we are gathering feedback for now”.

AVG Gets Additional Budget For Improvement From Washington Government
“After researching and comparing all of the top-selling antivirus software products, we came to the conclusion that AVG would offer us the most complete solution for our needs, I was already familiar with the home user version of AVG Anti-Virus, and I was pleased to find the same qualities of power, performance, and affordability in the network product. Plus, the remote administration capability makes it easy for us to manage all the workstations and servers from a single central location. That alone looked to be a tremendous time saver, given the number of physical locations we have”
