nCircle solutions discover all networked devices on an enterprise's network, and profile each system to determine its operating system, applications and versions, vulnerabilities, and configuration. nCircle confirmed compliance with the stringent RoHS and WEEE environmental directives.

The new appliances utilize more environmentally responsible internal components and fully comply with both European Directive 2002/95/EC, also known as the Restriction of Hazardous Substances or "RoHS" directive, and European Directive 2002/96/EC, also known as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The RoHS directive requires the elimination of certain harmful substances, such as lead and mercury, from electronic equipment, while the WEEE directive is intended to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment through planned recycling.

"nCircle's compliance with the RoHS and WEEE directives demonstrates our commitment to meeting or exceeding environmental standards in the manufacture of nCircle hardware products," stated Stefan Petry, Vice President of Product Management at nCircle. "nCircle took a proactive stance on compliance with these regulations, and we will continue to ensure that our hardware design is environmentally responsible."

nCircle is a leading provider of agentless security risk and compliance management solutions. More than 3,500 enterprises, government agencies and service providers around the world rely on nCircle's proactive security solutions to identify, measure, manage and reduce security risk and automate compliance on their networks.

nCircle security risk and compliance management solutions are designed for the enterprise and delivered on a multi-tier appliance architecture. Internal components of the nCircle appliances have been upgraded to newer and more environmentally responsible components to comply with the RoHS directive. The new appliances also sport a new look and feel.
